Christine Bryant-Ryback
I'm a senior software engineer, and I lead teams and/or make web apps at WillowTree in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Tech Speaker
I spoke at the first ever RVA JavaScript Conf about Style Organization Tips for Bewildered JS Devs.
I spoke at Open Source Bridge 2017 about what techniques behind succcessful writing workshops can bring to code review and open source contributions.
I spoke at AlterConf NYC 2017 and Open Source & Feelings 2016 about Body Image Negotiations in Tech Spaces.
Development & Pile o' Styles
I generally do a job that's called Tech Lead, which may or not mean what you think it means.
I rarely get to code these days, but when I do, I primarily develop in JavaScript (sometimes TypeScript). When not doing that, I specialize in teaching others extensible Sass/Less/CSS, semantic markup, and baseline web accessibility.
I prefer traditional frontend development but I am known as an API wrangler and have worked extensively with Express.js middleware and custom WordPress backends.
And More...
I graduated from Hollins University with a B.A. in English (creative writing) and a minor in Psychology (primarily clinical and biological), with extensive credits in the fields of Anthropology and Gender Studies, and zero credits in Computer Science.
